Hi, I'm Kendra, and in a somewhat ridiculous move, I started Field and Lane in Lake Leelanau, Michigan in the Summer of 2025 after thinking and scheming and dreaming for years. It was indeed a leap I had to take, but there were flowers.

What came next? Spontaneous bouquet gifting. Laughter + flowers. Your kitchen counter + flowers. Things I could have never guessed. And yes, some super mundane, everyday things, hard things too. Not everything is always rosy. Errands, etc. But there were flowers.

I believe fresh, local flowers are different. Field and Lane offers bouquets at the roadside farm stand in Lake Leelanau, grown 5 miles away on a small scale that allows for the utmost care to be taken for each bouquet. I design and arrange each bouquet, and each week, the bouquets are a little different, and even have some variety and uniqueness within the selection each week.

So should you say yes to flowers and stop by the flower stand? You're worth it. Your people are worth it.
